Inside a thick fog that would make people think that the cloud had descended to the ground, The Agent Black and the blonde girl were walking.

“Ahjussi. There really are a lot of cloud fish here.”

Few cloud fishes were even lying on the blonde girl’s palm with its eyes closed as if it was sleeping.

In the meantime, the girl seemed to enjoy playing with the cloud fish, as if she didn’t hate the cloud fish.

“It’s strange. The cloud fish shouldn’t be an Object that stays on the ground for this long.”

However, the Agent Black felt something was a little fishy¹.

Even though they were hiking inside a fog where they couldn’t even see an inch ahead, they didn’t feel particularly anxious. It felt as if the cloud fish were guiding them. In fact, the fog was so thick that they couldn’t see the terrain properly. Moreover, the compass also didn’t point in the right direction and just spun around.

Because the situation was like that, the Agent Black had long since given up on finding the way and put the map and compass away in his pocket.

Even though there was a path that looked like a hiking trail, he couldn’t be sure if they were going the right way.

After a few hours of walking around the foggy forest with the cloud fish, a giant staircase made of sturdy stones appeared before the Agent Black and the blonde girl. As they climbed the stairs that seemed to extend through the clouds to the end of the sky, the fog gradually began to shine brightly.

The light was so bright that it was hard to see it as a mere moonlight, so the Agent Black turned his head with concern and looked at the blonde girl.

But, the girl just smiled and shook her head.

“It’s not sunlight.”

As they climbed the stairs, the fog gradually thinned. With each step they took, the light coming down from the sky grew stronger and stronger.

Then, as they climbed the last step, the fog cleared like a theatre curtain being opened, and a magnificent sight unfolded before their eyes.

It was an old-fashioned village surrounded by a wall of swirling fog. It was a village hidden behind a veil that the Agent Black had not even known existed until the Yellow Detective told him about it.

In the sky above, a large moon was casting a soft orange light on the village in place of the sun. At the same time, various types of cloud fish were swimming gracefully in the sky.

Cloud jellyfish with translucent tentacles, majestic cloud whales, and countless other unnamed fish-shaped cloud fish were flying over the village, decorating the exotic scenery. Ȓá

It was a village that felt like a city of mermaids created in the white sea.

“Wow! It’s really cool.”

The Blonde Girl shouted, her eyes wide open in wonder and excitement. At the same time, the girl’s red eyes sparkled in the orange moonlight, radiating curiosity.

“Indeed.”

The Agent Black answered, standing beside the blonde girl.

His voice was calm and careful, but there was a hint of admiration in his tone.

The Agent Black stood guard over the excited girl, but he couldn’t take his eyes off the quietness of the village and the beautiful flow of clouds fishes swimming in the sky.

*********In the peaceful courtyard of Sehee Research Institute bathed in warm sunlight, a structure never seen inside the institute before stood.

It was a round colosseum made of marshmallow bricks.

In the audience seat along the wall, countless Golden Reapers, Black Reapers, and even Blue Reapers were gathered. Meanwhile, a sugar flamingo that would burn forever was sitting in the center of the audience seats, roasting the marshmallows which were placed above it.

There’s also the White Hungry Ghosts which had shrunk to the size which could be eaten in one bite by the mini reapers.

In the center of the colosseum, a duel of the century was taking place.

The prize money was a whopping 100 Gray Reaper puddings!

Those whooping 100 large puddings were piled up like a mountain on the other side of the audience seats.

“Roarrrr!”

A Gray Reaper golem made of a huge lump of water howled at that moment.

Thump-! Thump-!

On the other side of the Gray Reaper golem that was walking with heavy steps, a giant Black Reaper appeared.

It was a giant Black Reaper that was formed by the Black Reapers transforming their bodies into block pieces.

As unknown characters unique to Blue Reapers adorned the sky, the golem swung its heavy fist.

A sound which reminded the listener to the sound of a large wave crashing into a breakwater echoed. At the same time, the Giant Black Reaper staggered.

As a shock wave mixed with moisture swept through the surroundings, the Golden Reapers became excited as they ate the White Hungry Ghost.

While that was happening, I was lying on the ‘mother’s seat’ in the audience, watching the arena which was filled with joy.

The beginning of this event was simple.

The Golden Reaper happened to see a boxing match video while I was just watching the news. Then, the boxing match between the Golden Reapers, which was strangely popular, grew in scale. In the end, all the mini reapers  joined forces to hold this event.

The match in front of me seemed to be coming to an end.

At first, the Giant Black Reaper, which had physical immunity seemed to have the advantage, but as the match dragged on, the Giant Black Reaper’s movements began to creak.

In the meantime, the Golem, who was playing the match healthily with its guard up, was hit with many punches from the start and started to lose in the score. However, the Black Reapers’ movements began to become more and more unsynchronized.

After ducking to avoid the Giant Black Reaper’s creaking straight punch, the golem fired an uppercut!

That was the finishing blow.

The Giant Black Reaper, who had been flailing, each believing they were right, was hit by that blow and fell apart like a toy being disassembled.

At that moment, the Golden Reaper in charge of overseeing the match raised the blue flag and declared the victor.

It was a victory for the blue reaper side.

Then, the Golden Reapers’ applause and the sound of their hopping footsteps echoed loudly inside the Colosseum.

Before long, the Blue Reapers hid in the pile of pudding with their hats pulled down low and held the trophy while the Black Reapers who had lost were clapping and laughing.

It was a healthy competition where both the winner and the loser enjoyed it.

“No! My lunch money!”

The only people who looked sad were the Sehee Research Institute staff who had been betting some money while looking at the Colosseum from afar.

Unlike them, Yerin seemed completely uninterested in the bet and the competition. She was just busy taking pictures of the mini reapers.

Then suddenly, she shoved a picture at me.

“Reaper, how about this picture? A rare smile!”

The photo Yerin showed captured a Blue Reaper smiling with its eyes wide open.

It was definitely a photo someone wouldn’t see often.

*********A man wrapped in a protective suit was running down the mountain path like crazy.

With the amount of running he had done, it would be normal if he already got out from the confine of the fog. However, no matter how much he ran and struggled, he never saw the end of the fog.

At first, the man was moving in groups of ten, but now only two of his colleagues were left running next to him.

“Haaaa… Haaaaa.”

Perhaps because of the protective suit and all the filters it had, he found it hard to breathe. It felt like someone was blocking his mouth and preventing him from breathing.

Nevertheless, he couldn’t take off the protective suit. After all, his colleagues who took it off had their heads ripped off and died.

He had heard that this mission would be a safe one even though it would need them to traverse through a place where Objects were flying around. However, it was not the case.

Of course, it was definitely safe when they arrived at the operation area by helicopter and started walking around. He couldn’t see a single hostile Object, and all he could see were cloud fish, which were famous for being harmless Objects.

But the moment the ‘evolution liquid’ was installed, the peaceful atmosphere disappeared.

The fog that originally warmly enveloped the surroundings now turned into a dark, ominous space with thunder and lightning rumbling in it. The cute-looking cloud fish also turned into sharp-toothed piranhas while the cloud whale, a symbol of peace, was replaced by a human-eating cloud shark.

[ S-stop! ]

The sound of the man’s colleague rang inside the helmet through the radio.

When he looked around, his colleague, who had been coughing and struggling to breathe properly, was trying to take off his helmet because he couldn’t hold it in any longer.

However, no one stopped running to stop him.

His other colleague just told him not to do it while moving his feet as quickly as possible in order to survive.

Crunch-!

After a while, the man heard the sound of a skull cracking from behind.

It was probably coming from the body of his colleague who had taken off his helmet.

Fortunately, this crazy run was finally coming to an end.

After all, the man saw white light from outside began to pierce through the fog.

[ I survived! ]

The man sent a joyful radio message, but there was no answer.

When he looked around, he could see his comrade’s helmet was filled with blood. Inside it,  there were red-colored cloud piranhas turning his comrade’s flesh into a paste. Before long, that minced flesh was flowing out like minced meat through a small hole in his comrade’s protective suit.

The comrade’s body, which had been jumping due to the inertia of the cloud fish, fell down with a thud.

But the man just gritted his teeth and ran beyond the fog.

He survived!

However, the place he ran towards with such joy was none other than another hell.

The helicopter set up in the empty lot was broken, and there were bloody corpses strewn about underneath.

In the meantime, red-colored cloud sharks were circling above it.

The man’s thoughts were cut off by the shark’s mouth flying towards him with its mouth wide open.

*********All kinds of snacks were delivered to the courtyard of Sehee Research Institute for the after-party of the Colosseum event. Pudding, jelly, cookies, macaroons, and other sweet snacks could be seed all around the yard.

As the numerous snacks were spread out on the mat, the Mini Reapers happily spread out in all directions and started eating the snacks.

It was a party where the Mini Reapers gathered together and the people became happy because they saw them doing that.

Even though the Blue Reapers looked like they would run away, they were sitting in the corner of the party with their hats pulled down low. It seemed like they couldn’t leave because they understood that they were the main characters of the party, the ‘Colosseum Champions.’

Warm sunlight, delicious snacks, and happy-looking Mini Reapers.

It was a peaceful afternoon that truly fit the image of Sehee Research Institute.

However, that perfect afternoon was shattered by an unexpected accident.

A fierce gust of wind, as if foreshadowing the storm that would come, swept through the tranquil landscape. Then, the brilliantly shining sun was obscured by an ominous veil of clouds that grew thicker and thicker before it began to cover the surroundings with an eerie atmosphere. The snacks were flown away due to the gust of wind caused by the cloud fish that circled the sky.

The mini reapers who had been having fun looked up at the sky with serious expressions. It seemed like they were reacting to the faint smell of petroleum mixed in the wind.

It was the reappearance of a foul smell that they thought they would no longer smell after destroying the Third Research Institute.

But unlike the other mini reapers, the Black Reaper’s reaction was a bit more intense. They bared their sharp teeth and clacked them together as if it was going to chew them up.

And then, a huge silhouette began to gradually emerge from the huge swirl of clouds in the sky. It was a huge cloud whale that slowly revealed itself starting from the head.

The ginormous Cloud Whale made of white clouds began to slowly descend without making any sound, like a balloon slowly descending.

The huge Cloud Whale, which was so huge that it could swallow up the entire Sehee Research Institute and still have some free space, cast a dark shadow over the Sehee Research Institute.

Since it was made of clouds, no sound of collision was heard when it hit the ground.

However, the sound of the wind of the clouds and the slight ground shaking caused by it indirectly expressed the huge presence of the cloud whale.

The huge cloud whale that suddenly appeared as if it was a messenger of something swallowed up the Sehee Research Institute.
