God Ash: Remnants of the fallen.

Chapter 411: Pummel to Death.

He was amazed. He had to be. The power of the lightning blade Leah had summoned was incredible, and yet, just mere seconds after the destructive attack had landed, the creature had healed up completely and was now launching itself at her with open jaws.

\'It\'s healing is even better than mine. Abyssal Creatures are far stronger than mutant beasts. No more waiting...\' His eyes became steely as he prepared his attack.

He had come very close to the battlefield unnoticed. By creating a dome that obscured both sound and light, he was able to slip under the radar of everyone engaged in battle...

Normally, trying to activate two spells of conflicting nature like the {Emblem of Darkness} and {Imploding Star} would be incredibly difficult. In fact, activating multiple spells at once and maintaining them was incredibly difficult.

However, Cain\'s talent with mana, his ability to see mana flow patterns, as well as his Devil Eye and Magic Eye made it so that he could activate four to five spells simultaneously without too much of a hassle.

"Infernal Celestial Art: Flame Orb."

Chanting under his breath, a magic circle appeared above his outstretched index finger which was pointed directly at the {Abyssal Millionth Beast}.

Leah\'s eyes went wide open as she witnessed thousands of onyx teeth headed for her with the intention of turning her into ground meat. The {Abyssal Millionth Beast was just a split second from devouring her whole.

\'I... I messed up.\'

If she hadn\'t decided to try ending the fight with a single blow, they wouldn\'t be in this mess.

\'I had no idea its regeneration was this... No... I knew... I knew it too well.\'

Indeed, with a {Regeneration lvl.6} skill, the creature\'s regenerative abilities were greater than just terrifying, more harrowing than any she had ever encountered. It was close to immortal.

The Abyssal Creature was moving too fast. No one would be able to save her in time. Blinded by the urgency of the situation, she wanted to end it quickly. But that had turned out to be a fatal mistake. One so fatal, it would cost her her life.

She closed her eyes, expecting a swift death...

Instead, her ears were greeted with the sounds of continuous explosions.

\'Is it Lin?\'

A wave of heat blasted against her face causing her to open her eyes in shock.

"W-what?!"

She was shocked to see the {Abyssal Millionth Beast} roaring in anger as hundreds of flaming orbs slammed against the horrifying wound she had inflicted upon it.

She took this as an opportunity to jump back and escape whilst searching for the origin of these magical attacks that had saved her life. Kai on the other hand jumped in the moment the creature was distracted.

"Beast Aura!"

A radiant white light exploded forth from her body as puffs of white fur appeared on her, giving her a more regal look. Her height and stature increased a little. However, she still looked incredibly lithe.

Light flashed in her hands, and another bone spear appeared. Pivoting her body around, she threw the spear with all her might creating a sonic boom.

However, she didn\'t stop at that, as another bone spear appeared in her hands the moment the other one was gone.

Leah breathed a sigh of relief as she withdrew. However, she was in for a surprise as suddenly, from a place far in the distance, a radiant blue light flashed through the air and arrived upon the {Abyssal Millionth Beast} in a split second.

BANG!

A loud crashing sound reverberated through the air as the magic bullet penetrated the creature\'s skull. However, the wound closed almost as soon as it appeared.

Her eyes narrowed as she turned in that direction. However, that was not the end, as that initial attack became the herald of a bombardment like no other...

A heavy bang shot out again, and a bullet flashed through the air, burying itself into the creature\'s side. However, this bullet didn\'t come from the same direction as the first.

Turning her head, she saw a group of individuals rushing towards the battle.

David was the first to rush in. Although he only had one hand now that didn\'t mean he was useless. Rather, he was still a very key fighter. With him around, the main fighters could attack to their heart\'s content.

Raising his tower shield to the sky, he struck the ground with a loud yell, causing a shockwave to spread out.

"Crimson Dome!"

A blood-red barrier rose from the ground with him as the epicenter. Ranged attacks immediately came pouring out.

"Get your asses away from there!" Cain yelled out in a loud voice as he dispelled {Emblem of Darkness}.

All four Beastwomen turned to look at him with shocked expressions.

"You..." Roselle began to say but was cut short by an angry yell from Cain.

"Now isn\'t time. Get out of here!"

Cain\'s words caused them to flinch. Lin Lin frowned heavily as a dark look flashed in her eyes. Suddenly, she pointed her black wand at Cain,

"Idiot..." A dark grin appeared on her face as she prepared to unleash the attack. However, she was unable to do so as just a second later, her eyes rolled to the back of her head and she fell to the ground with a groan.

Dan appeared behind her, with a thick club made from ice in his hand as he looked down at Lin Lin with cold eyes.

"Crazy bitch..."

Turning to Cain, he nodded his head and quickly moved to pick her up.

"Oh, no you don\'t!" Kai yelled furiously at the top of her lungs as she made a beeline straight for Dan. However, the {Abyssal Millionth Beast} had already recovered.

With a loud shriek, the creature let loose another {Ironfall}, causing her to draw back and focus on dodging.

"Bastard!" Kai growled as she focused on dodging and deflecting the iron rain.

With Cain on her back, Ruby moved out of the range of the blanket attack. Thanks to David, the others who had accompanied Jenny were able to attack as they pleased.

"Ruby, run there!" Cain yelled.

\'Okay!\'

The giant bear ran around the creature while the others bombarded them. He was running towards Leah and the others who were still within the range of attacks. Due to how dense the shower of iron hairs was, there was no way for them to avoid being hit forever, as stamina was not infinite.

Cain would have liked to help them, but he had other things to do...

\'Besides, they won\'t die yet. They can hold out a while longer. In the meantime...\'

Although he didn\'t have the best opinion of them, that didn\'t mean he wanted them to die. There was also the enchantment to consider. There was a huge chance they acted like they did because of this enchantment.

With that in mind, Cain began attacking as well. Manifesting several magic circles into existence, he began firing hundreds of {Imploding Stars} and {Flame Orbs}.

Light flashed in his hands, and {Maelstron appeared. Drawing the bowstring back, he began firing arrows of compressed cosmic water.

His plan was simple...

If the creature could regenerate so quickly, then all they needed to do was oversee its regeneration.

If one wasn\'t enough, they would fire ten. If ten didn\'t do it in, then they would attack it a hundred times. If it still didn\'t drop, they would fire a thousand times...

Basically, they were going to pummel it to death. This would have been too much work for one person, but now, they didn\'t have to worry about that.

\'Fighting a close-range battle would be the height of stupidity, so it is best to put as much distance as possible.\'

This was the mistake the four Beastwomen had made. They tried to finish the battle in one go but failed to account for two things. The creature\'s absurd regeneration, and keeping a healthy distance.

Now that it was grounded, it would be rather difficult for it to move away. This meant everyone could attack as much as they wanted for now.

\'This can work... It\'s regeneration is fast, but not infinite.\' Cain thought with a grim look as he fired another arrow.

He could feel a headache and a sense of exhaustion creeping in, but he shoved it to the side. He could rest after this thing was dead.

Leah on the other hand gritted her teeth. She, Roselle, and Kai were stuck in a tough spot. One of them would eventually slip up and get poked full of holes if this kept up.

Just as she was about to give in to despair, a multicolored barrier appeared around her body. This was the same for Kai and Roselle.

Sisi, who was on the other side of David\'s {Crimson Dome} had a look of focus on her face as she tried to maintain the barriers on her friends to the best of her ability.

All three let out sighs of relief as they no longer needed to worry about getting killed by {Ironfall}.

"Leah..." Kai yelled out as she moved closer.

"Don\'t worry about Sisi. Focus on attacking that thing." Leah said coldly as she swung the sword of lightning in her hands and began another dash towards the {Abyssal. Millionth Beast}.

They had to defeat it before the barriers gave out...

Now that there were so many people involved with bringing it down, The {Abyssal Millionth Beast} didn\'t stand a chance.

A few minutes later, it let out one final cry as its enormous head fell to the ground. After that, it became silent for eternity...

Silence...

Cain let out a steamy breath that mixed in with the cold air...

"It\'s over..."
