Fortunate to Have You This Lifetime

Chapter 85 - 85: Even More Disgusting

Recently, the Summers Family had been calm and quiet.

Dylan Summers had paid a hefty sum to settle disputes, leaving him in a terrible mood, and he spent several nights out for entertainment.

Laura Summers locked herself in her room, waiting for the slap mark on her face to fade.

Yolanda Summers didn’t bother Purple Summers either.

Purple enjoyed the most comfortable days since her rebirth.

She picked a nice day to go out for a drive, taking her Hummer to the 4S shop to have the entire interior replaced and serviced along the way.

Next, Purple planned to go to a private detective agency.

As a prosecutor, she easily had access to assistants and the power to delegate police officers, occasionally even collaborating with private detectives.

Purple knew a few reputable agencies and was ready to visit them, she wanted to try her luck.

As if fate wanted to ruin her peaceful days, she couldn’t find an available car after waiting for a long time.

Purple spotted a nearby bus stop and decided to take the bus instead.

However, at one of the stops, a man behind her suddenly snatched her bag and ran off the bus!

“Ah! There’s a robber!”

Several passengers on the bus shouted out in alarm!

Purple rushed off the bus to chase the thief, as did two other passengers who wanted to help, but the thief was too fast and disappeared in the blink of an eye.

The passengers sighed: “Even if we call the police, it’s probably useless. These thieves nowadays are so cunning!”

Purple smiled slightly, saying, “It’s okay, there wasn’t much money in my bag anyway.”

Her bag only contained her cellphone…

So Dylan finally made a move. Last time it was a home burglary, this time a street robbery. How creative of him.

She really wanted to give him a five-star review.

The bus continued its journey, as passengers continued discussing the recent excitement, and many sympathized with Purple.

Feeling uncomfortable under such attention, Purple got off at the next stop, planning to switch buses.

Her luck wasn’t great.

The route was desolate, without a trace of any vehicle, and she had no idea how far the next stop was.

Purple stood for a while, her feet aching, so she sat in the shade to wait.

Without her phone, things were quite inconvenient, at the very least she couldn’t call for help.

But… thinking that Alexander Summers couldn’t track her now made her quite happy. Ha!

Purple patiently waited for a while, and unexpectedly, a familiar silver Maybach pulled up.

She furrowed her brow.

She recognized the car; it was the one Nathaniel Summers often drove.

—The car slowed down, stopping in front of Purple, revealing Nathaniel’s face through the window.

“Purple, what are you doing here?” Nathaniel raised his eyebrow, showing a bit of surprise.

He glanced at the nearby bus stop sign, guessing that Purple was waiting for the bus, and said, “Get in. I’ll give you a ride wherever you’re going.”

Purple despised Nathaniel.

Her disgust for him was even greater than for Alexander because Nathaniel was hypocritical.

However, there was no knowing when the bus would arrive, it seemed difficult to find a ride, and her feet were really hurting.

Purple didn’t hesitate and got into the car.

“Where are you going?” Nathaniel asked her.

Purple replied softly, “The movie theater.”

Of course, she couldn’t tell him she was going to the detective agency.

Anyway, the theater was only two streets away from the agency. She’d have to walk a bit further, but it wasn’t a big deal.

But then Nathaniel frowned, “Did you make plans to see a movie with friends? Purple, you’re not hanging out with those delinquents again, are you?”

Purple looked out the car window, her voice cold: “Elder brother, you’re too nosy. If you don’t have time, you can stop the car now, and I’ll go myself..”
